My name is Laurie RUBIER and I welcome you to my site.  I am giving just the  basic information at this time. The Surnames I am researching are WALTERS,  KREGEAR, POWELL, CLINE, HAYWARD, BAKER, POURCHOT, RUBIER, FAUSEL,  MASON, KAISER, HERDTER, RANCH, MORCY AND NATZEL. I am just getting started on  a few of the surnames listed.

Alternate spellings of these names are as follow:
 WALTER, WALTERS, WOLTERS, KREGEAR, KREGER, CRUGER, KRUGER, POWEL, POWELL,  RUBIER, ROBIOR, RUBER, RUBIOR, MASSON, MASON.  These are the spellings I have  come across in my family search.

MIGRATIONS
 My WALTERS came from Pennsylvania to Michigan in about 1840, settling in  the upper lower Michigan, down to the south east part of Michigan.  I only  know my earliest Walters came from PA but don't know where.

My RUBIERs' came from France.  They came in to Michigan from  upper lower part of Michigan from Newfoundland & into Canada.  They settled into the Benzie County  area.  They came here in the early 1830's.  Later in the mid 1840's there of  they started commerical fishing. My MORCY is an indian married into the RUBIER line,  in Michigan.

MASONs' came from Scotland Into Ireland and settled in Michigan.

CLINEs' came from Canada and settled in the Southeast section of Michigan.

KREGEAR, NATZEL, FAUSEL, KAISER, HERDTER all came from Germany.

HAYWARDs' came from Ireland into Canada to Michigan settling in the southeast corner  of the state.

BAKER line is from Ohio moved to the northern part of Michigan.

RANCH line is from Ohio to  Michigan
